Privacy Policy

The service

This page covers the free llms.txt Generator & Checker at clioos.com/llms-txt/ (a Clioos tool). It is separate from AI Visibility Lite, which has its own privacy policy.

What we collect

We collect only what this free tool needs to run:

  • Form and request inputs you submit — for Generate: site name, summary, details, section/link fields, and related options. For Check: pasted llms.txt body text and/or a public URL you ask us to fetch.
  • Client IP address (rate limiting only) — used as an in-memory key to enforce per-IP request limits (currently about 60 generate and 30 check requests per 60-second sliding window). Hit timestamps older than the window are discarded. This store is process memory only (not a database or durable log) and is cleared when the process restarts.
  • Short-lived technical signals — ordinary HTTP request metadata handled by our hosting/reverse proxy (e.g. for security and abuse defence). We do not operate an application-level database of your generate/check history.

We do not require an account or email for this tool. We do not process payments on this page. We do not store payment card details.

How generation and checking work

  • Generate builds llms.txt / optional llms-full.txt from the fields you submit using a pure template on our servers. It does not call OpenAI, Perplexity, or any other AI API, and it does not crawl your site.
  • Check validates structure of pasted text, or — when live network fetching is enabled on the server — performs an HTTP GET of a public http/https URL you provide (typically /llms.txt or /llms-full.txt), with SSRF protections (public hosts only, size/redirect limits). Fetched content is used to produce the check result returned to your browser.

Generated files and check results are returned to you in the HTTP response. This MVP does not keep a durable server-side archive of those outputs for later lookup.

Analytics

We use self-hosted Umami analytics (umami.clioos.com) for aggregate page-view style statistics. It is configured for privacy-oriented, non-advertising measurement. We do not run third-party ad trackers that follow you across unrelated sites.

Cookies

This tool’s application code does not set account or session cookies. Any cookies that may appear are limited to what is strictly needed by hosting, security, or analytics configuration — not advertising profiles. You can use the tool without creating an account.

Retention

  • Rate-limit IP keys and timestamps: held in memory for the active sliding window (on the order of one minute), then dropped; not written to an application database.
  • Submitted form fields, pasted bodies, and fetched page bodies: processed to answer your request and are not retained as a product “history” store in this MVP.
  • Infrastructure and security logs (if any) may be retained briefly by our host for operations and abuse investigation, then rotated.

Third parties and other Clioos products

Optional links from this page to AI Visibility Lite take you to a separate product that may collect email, call OpenAI/Perplexity APIs, and process payments under that product’s own terms and privacy policy. Using this llms.txt tool does not enroll you there.

Deleting your data

Because this tool does not bind an account or durable generate/check archive to you, there is typically nothing account-like to delete. If you believe we hold something that identifies you (for example in a support email thread), contact contact@clioos.com and we will help.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
