- We query official APIs — Each check runs all five questions on OpenAI (Responses API with web search) and Perplexity (Sonar chat completions). Platform-paid keys only in v1 — no BYOK, no ChatGPT.com / Perplexity UI scraping.
- Read Mentioned / Not mentioned — Per question × engine: yes/no mention, truncated excerpt, competitor names that appear in the same answer, model id, and timestamp. A Visibility summary shows mention rate with sample size (
5 prompts × 2 engines) and check time (not a “score”). - Export or buy more checks — Copy or download Markdown. Free tier: 3 checks per email (one-time). Packs: $12.99 / 30 or $29.99 / 100 — one-time, checks never expire.

What is an AI visibility checker?
An AI visibility checker answers a practical question: for a buyer prompt you care about, do AI search / answer engines mention your brand? AI Visibility Lite runs that spot-check on OpenAI and Perplexity via official APIs and reports Mentioned or Not mentioned per engine, with an excerpt.
Will this get my brand cited by ChatGPT or Perplexity?
No. We never promise citations, rankings, traffic, or “#1 on ChatGPT.” The tool only reports whether your brand string (or configured alias/domain) appears in the API response text for the questions you submit.
Which engines do you support?
v1 runs OpenAI (official API with web search) and Perplexity (official API) on every check. Google AI Overviews, Claude, and other engines are out of scope for v1. You cannot disable one engine to use a half-check.
How is a free check different from a paid pack?
Free: 3 checks per email (one-time) after you leave an email (no forced account). IP also capped at 3/day. Paid one-time packs: $12.99 for 30 or $29.99 for 100. Checks do not expire. 1 check = 5 buyer questions across 2 engines (OpenAI and Perplexity).
Do official API results match the ChatGPT or Perplexity websites?
Not always. Official API snapshots can differ from the consumer web UI on your device. See /methodology for how we call the APIs, how mention matching works, and the no-guarantee list.
How accurate is brand mention detection?
On a live holdout run (2026-10-29, Asia/Shanghai): 99.0% mention accuracy (99/100 calls across 10 brands) and 100% citation accuracy (100/100). A later small-SaaS holdout scored 100% mention and citation (50/50). Detection is still a string heuristic — before adversarial hardening, mention accuracy on a 30-case adversarial set was 50%. Do you scrape ChatGPT.com or Perplexity’s website?
No. We only use official provider APIs. Platform keys stay on the server; v1 has no bring-your-own-key UI.
What happens to my data, and can I get a refund?
Email binds free checks and optional result links. We keep operational logs short-lived (see Privacy). Refunds follow the Refund policy and reclaim unused paid checks promptly. Export results anytime as Markdown. Contact contact@clioos.com.
