Terms of Service

The service

Subtitle Translator (part of Clioos) lets you upload audio/video or .srt/.vtt subtitle files and receive translated captions. Transcription uses a configurable ASR backend (local Whisper or a hosted ASR service). Translation runs via a hosted LLM or third-party machine translation services selected by server configuration. You must only upload content you have the rights to process.

No accuracy or platform-approval promise

Output is AI-generated. It is not a guarantee of accuracy, completeness, timing fidelity, or approval by any video platform. Always proofread before you publish.

Minutes and packs

Billing uses minutes: 1 credit = 1 minute of billed duration (rounded up; minimum 1 minute per job). Free allowance: 10 minutes per email, one-time (no password account required). Paid packs are one-time purchases that never expire and have no subscription: $12.99 for 120 minutes, $19.99 for 300 minutes, and $29.99 for 600 minutes. Failed jobs refund the minutes charged for that job.

Payments

Prices are in US dollars. When checkout is enabled, payments are processed by Waffo (Waffo.com Limited) as merchant of record. We do not store card details. Purchase is complete when paid minutes appear in the wallet bound to your checkout email. If payment succeeds but minutes are missing, we will fulfil manually or refund you — see the Refund Policy.

Your content

You are responsible for the media and subtitle text you submit. By using the service you instruct us to send necessary audio/text to the configured ASR and translation providers so they can return results. Do not upload malware, secrets, unlawful content, or personal data you are not allowed to process. You may not resell the service, scrape it, or bypass quotas or rate limits.

File retention

Uploaded files, intermediates, and downloadable results are deleted within 1 hour after processing completes or fails.

Availability and liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase.
