The extension captures a screenshot of the page you are viewing, stitches it into one PNG on your own device, and downloads that PNG to your computer. It does not upload your screenshots anywhere, does not create an account, does not run analytics, and does not collect personal information.
When you click “Capture full page”, the extension scrolls the current tab, captures each visible part of the page, stitches the parts into a single image on your device, and saves it as a PNG download. That is the extension's only function.
None. The extension does not collect, store, or transmit:
There is no account and no sign-in. The extension makes no network requests at all: it contains no remote code, no third-party scripts, and no tracking pixels.
The extension does not request access to all websites, does not read data from other tabs, and does not run on pages you have not clicked it on.
The extension popup contains one link, “Need API access? Get a Shot API key”, which opens shot.clioos.com in a new tab. Clicking it is optional. The extension itself does not send your screenshots or any other data to that site or anywhere else, and it does not include an API key.
The extension is a general-purpose screenshot tool. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
If a future version of the extension adds any feature that sends data anywhere (for example, an optional API upload), this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the new version will describe exactly what is sent and why.
